Astaros

Astaros: female, age unknown. One of Ozma's three Dark Knights, one who can control space and time. During the first Black Crusade she faced Shapiro Gracia, one of the Holy Five, and was defeated by him but also managed to escape. After Ozma and the other two Dark Knights were sealed, she remained hidden in the shadows to preserve the Black Church and prepare for the return of Chaos.
As Ozma's proxy she did many things to expand the force of chaos, leading the Black Church behind the scenes and corrupting many weak hearts. It was also during this time that she turned Nilvas Gracia into an imposter, causing him to leave the Order of priests and set on a journey to track her down. She often acted under the alias 'Pureblood Timor' to hide her tracks. When the Grim Seekers awakened Kazan the God of Extinction from the afterlife and loosened the seals on Ozma, Astaros did not miss this chance and mobilized the Black Church, releasing the other two Dark Knights from their seals and eventually freeing Ozma himself as well.
During the second Black Crusade as the last Dark Knight standing, she halted the Adventurers and the priests at Ellerinon and attempted to turn Grandis Gracia, Nilvas' sister, into an imposter as well. But amongst the adventurers were the Dark Knight and Creator as well, who have complete control over time, and with Nilvas' final intervention she was defeated and destroyed.

Interestingly, Astaros shows several relations to Liz, Ozma's late fiance. They share the exact same hairstyle and Astaros is defeated in Ellerinon, the city where Liz's family ruled and where a portrait of Liz can be seen. Due to the difference in story time frame and as the game has no further concrete implications on their connection it is unlikely that Liz and Astaros are directly related, but it is also difficult to say that they are completely unrelated.
